In an effort to keep the public and our staff safe from COVID-19 and limit the number of people in our lobby, our offices in Sarasota and Venice are now accepting customers by appointment only. Learn how to make an appointment for an in-office visit.

Most services and transactions can be completed through our website at any time. You can apply for an exemption, change your address, make an inquiry about your property or email our team.

Submission of Homestead/Exemptions documents: please submit your documents by emailing them to our Customer Service department. 

You can also contact us through email, phone or physical mail.

Making an Appointment

The Sarasota County Property Appraiser is open to the public by appointment only in order to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 and limit the number of people in our lobby. To make an appointment, please call (941) 861-8200, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

What to expect at your appointment time:

  • We ask that you wear a face mask during your visit
  • Please limit your visit to the person(s) requiring our office's services
  • When you make your appointment, you will be provided with a phone number to call when you arrive for your scheduled appointment
  • If you feel ill or are sick, please stay home and contact us to re-schedule your appointment.

Address Changes. Do you need to change your mailing address? Please complete and submit our Address Change Form.

Homestead Exemption filing. Use our online portal to file your Homestead Exemption and other exemptions application. 

If you have already filed and would like tot check the status of your application, go to Check Homestead Application Status for the status of your application. If you have a HOLD notice, please review the notice carefully for all applicants and provide us the requested documents via email to customerservice@sc-pa.com
